This week’s meeting was short but very productive. The style and copy for the awards was decided on along with a decision about the shirts. You will just have to attend to get your very own shirt.

We added a page to the site titled “Photo Gallery”. This page will be organized by year. We hope to be able to obtain some photos from previous years to add to the page. If you have any pictures from previous years please send a few for the Photo Gallery. If you know the year they are from that would be fantastic.
Holly made her first Golf Video this week. Watch Out Golf Instructors, she really knows her stuff!
Golf, like any other sport requires practice in order to become proficient. One of the best ways to practice for golf is at the driving range. You can work on your stance, perfect your swing or perhaps pick up a tip or two from others at the range.

Advanced planning and fine tuning all the aspects of an event of this magnitude is demanding. Thank goodness we have a dedicated group of committee chairmen participating.
We are pleased to report that the committee has agreed on the trophies for the tournament. Thanks to Action Awards in Snellville for their help.
Ambassadors Report – It looks like we have over 20 volunteers for the day of the tournament. Thanks to all who have volunteered.
Sponsorship Report – It looks like there will be a big announcement next week regarding the Presenting Sponsor. Hole sponsorships are filling up quickly. We still need several contest sponsors.
Raffle – Raffle prizes are approaching 50 items right now. We anticipate there will be over 100 items in the raffle.
Miscellaneous – Greg and Mack visited the start of the Paul Hewitt Celebrity Tournament at Chateau Élan on Tuesday Morning to get ideas. Several observations were made regarding signage and organization. Thanks to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta for letting them observe.
The Chateau Élan staff did an excellent job of handling traffic and the bag drop. You could tell this was not their first parade.

We want to give a special thanks to the organizers of today’s tournament that benefits Gwinnett and DeKalb Boys and Girls Clubs for allowing several of us to observe the beginning of their event this morning. As we are ramping up the 7th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Classic to a new level of participation, we wanted to make certain that we could cope with the growing pains and observing how this tournament was organized definitely helped.
What a difference a week makes. We thought we were really moving along until we got to this week’s update. The only thing we can say is WOW.
Ambassadors Report – Let the calls begin. The volunteer call group contacted every agent in the office inviting them to participate. The response was overwhelming.
Sponsorship Report – After a well deserved vacation Patrick is back at work on recruiting sponsors for the tournament. Commitments for hole sponsorships are coming in at a good pace. In the last week Chick-fil-A confirmed that they would be The Starting Lunch Sponsor and RMS Management, KidsRKids, Advantage Mortgage Partners and Cutco Closing Gifts confirmed their hole sponsorships.
Raffle Report – Chicopee Woods, Chattahoochee, Country Club of Gwinnett and Trophy Club Apalachee all donated rounds of golf to the raffle. A gift card was also presented this morning. Currently there are over 35 items that have been donated to the raffle.
Thank You Team Report – Lisa and Holly met with the printer regarding the shirts and were able to come up with several design ideas. Trophies and prizes were discussed along with what the budget will be for these items. The committee is in agreement that engraved acrylic trophies seem to be the choice. Holly and Mack will meet with Action Awards in Snellville to get samples for next week’s meeting.
Miscellaneous – Several committee members will be going to Chateau Elan next week to witness the start up of Paul Hewitt’s Celebrity Golf Classic. We hope to gain vast knowledge from observing how they handle the start.
Soon we will start shooting video’s to upload to the YouTube Page. Perhaps a Sponsor Video or even a humorous golf video may appear. Keep Checking for updates.
The 7th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Tournament is really coming together. Committee Reports are as follows:
Ambassadors Report – Volunteers – The first thing we would like to tackle is phoning every agent in the office and personally inviting them to volunteer. This will happen next Thursday morning at 11:00. After next Thursdays phone session there will be a luncheon.
Sponsorship Report – Pat is on a well deserved vacation this week. Holly and Mack made announcements at Monday’s NAMAR Networking Breakfast and received a good response for both Sponsorships and Golfers wanting to play.
Raffle Report – Requests for donations have gone out to several corporate donors throughout the Southeast USA. Item list updated
Website Report – The Online Donation Form is live and active. Children’s will pull a report for accounting as needed. All we have to do is contact Terilyn Walton. We are at the point where we are just adding Articles, Sponsors and Teams as we get the information.
Thank You Team Report – Meeting scheduled for next Monday afternoon with a printer and graphics provider regarding shirts.

Things have really taken shape in the last week. The 7th Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network promises to be one of the best ever. Here are the committee reports showing the progress being made:
• Ambassadors Report by Holly – Holly outlined the day of the event volunteer activities. A discussion was held regarding Team Photos and making certain that each team had a Course Description and Contest Holes Handout.
• Sponsorship Report by Pat – Verbal Sponsorship commitments are coming in and it is anticipated that Formal Sign up and Paid Sponsors will be appearing within the next week.
• Raffle Report by Greg – Getting started now with the collection of the Raffle Items is imperative. In addition to the already collected items Holly produced 4 Golf Prints and 4 Computer Bags.
• Website Report by Mack – The Donation Page has been created and we will be getting the Donation URL next week from Children’s Miracle Network. The Sponsorship Page has been updated to include PDF Outlines of each sponsor’s responsibilities. The Cheat Sheet Page has been updated to include pictures of each hole. A YouTube account has been set up for event related videos. NAMAR has agreed to promote the Tournament on their website and their Facebook Page.
• Thank You Team Report by Lisa – We must still decide on what type of shirt we are going to use. We can have shirts Screen Printed or Embroidered by a local vendor.
